Bah, Suicide under any circumstance is nothing but a drastic escape attempt. It accomplishes nothing and helps no one. A person that commits such an act is utterly useless as far as I'm concerned. But, that's just my opinion, I could care less what other people do. If a person is that weak they should probably just do what they want and stop wasting my air.

Quote by OyaziThere is decline in faith ...cos religion is tough. Religious people do make some sacrifices in they life that non-religious would never do. I think this is the main thing that keeps some people from religion.

Yes, the religious sacrifice reason and the greater part of their ability to think for themselves to achieve a false sense of order and fairness in a universe which lacks all these things. I must admit, that is quite tough.

Atheism is on the rise simply because people are becoming far less ignorant, which means relgions that have be built upon and maintained by ignorance are losing support.

f

I don't really care, but I see no reason why it shouldn't show just to appease a bunch of whiny idiots who are so insecure in their faith that a cartoon seems like a threat. Anyone who thinks South Park causes psychological damage really needs to get a sense of humor and some self-esteem. It is not against the law to make fun of people or groups; slander and libel are against the law, but actually getting someone to trial and convicting them of such an offense is quite difficult, as it should be in my opinion.

You'll get over it, I once peed my pants in school, when I was younger of course, and I got over it. You can do nothing to change the past, all you can do is get over it and decide your present, if you can't, then it will hold you down forever.

I use LoginUIBootRandomizer. I've had it for quite a while, but it is free and far simpler than those paid things.

I'm using a randomizer, so i really have no idea where this particular wall is from.

Oh, and my desktop is always that clean.

Well, this is rather stupid. Your hypothesis is a piece of crap, my status as a atheist has nothing to do with my imagination, and my imagination has little to do with whether I enjoy anime. I do find this funny coming from a group of people whose best idea of a god is an old dude with a beard. I could do much better.

The idea of a world state is completely insane. Other than some greatlly effective tyrant conquering the planet there is no way any curent nations would relinquish their sovreignty. Besides something about a "world state" doesn't sit well with me, but that might just be because I'm something of an anarchist.

f

I don't particularly care. People can do what they will, if someone wants to have such an operation neither I nor anyone else has the right to judge them.

f

Good and evil, positive and negative are words and nothing more. You seem to ignore the fact that none of these things actually exist outside of a simplistic perspective.

I do think most everything would have a scientific explanation, eventually, but that eventually could be a very long time. This is not to say everything has a reason. A reason for an event and an explanation for an event are two very different things. The only things that really have reasons are assigned their reasons by people.

f

My opinion - God is the construct of weak people, doesn't exist and never has.

f

No, we can't all agree that Jesus was resurrected. His body was probably taken by grave robbers or even his own followers for all we know. Ultimately, his body would have decayed and become fertilizer, of that I can be sure. Unless mummy Jesus turns up, but I doubt that.

f

No! You mustn't return to religion. It will only limit your horizons, besides anything you have to force yourself to believe in is probably not worth believing in. If you want to take up some free time raed a book; anything by Nietzsche is good. If you need more meaning in your life, make it yourself, don't rely on the lies of a religion to give your life meaning.

f

Well, this topic makes little sense. What do you mean that "some people pray to evil"? Whatever, I know there are some people who actually do pray to aliens. But that is just a case of people substituting aliens for a god, there really is little difference. Neither of these is a very intelligent pursuit, but both have pretty much equal amounts of supporting evidence. If you pray to god you can't really criticize people who pray to aliens.

Personally, I do not pray to aliens or anything else for that matter.

There is no afterlife. Such ideas are the delusions of those who can not accept the truth of death. Death is forever, you will not be reincarnated and you will not languish forever in hell or heaven. Forever and eternity simply can not exist, at least for sentient life. Even if you had an un-aging body the universe will eventually either suffer heat death or collapse, and once your body is gone you are dead. Either accept that fact or continue to delude yourself with the fairy tale of an afterlife, I personally couldn't care less what you decide.

f

Actually I think the Christian Hell was icy too. At least I know Dante depicted the ninth circle of hell as the icy lake Cocytus. I think the idea was that the lowest levels of hell would be furthest from the warmth of god and, therefore, cold and frozen. Of course, I don't actually believe in such concepts, so to answer your question, hell does not exist.

f

It is a big universe. Believing that life only exists on Earth is arrogant. So I do believe in aliens, do I believe that little gray men are abduction redneck hillbillies? No. Any alien life form would probably be so alien that we might not even recognize it as life, never mind actually being able to engage in meaningful communication. Even any moral system an alien being might possess would probably be so different from ours as to widen this gap and make communication truly impossible.

f

I most certainly do not believe in guardian angels or angels in general. It is really a delusional belief held by those too afraid to admit that they are ultimately accountable for their own life. There are no guardian angels to save people from their own stupidity.

f

Now how did I do that? Spell check doesn't help much when you use the wrong word. Well, I fixed it.

f

Well this is making a lot of assumptions, but assuming there was a god and it created humans, I would say it was done out of vanity. This being simply wanted a bunch of zombies to exalt and worship it and to feed its insatiable ego. This is assuming we're talking about a monotheistic god here.

f

Personally, I have nothing against homosexuality. However, I am absolutely against people imposing their will upon others. Whether it be biological or simply a matter of choice, no one has the right to tell such people that they are sick or wrong. If you think homosexuality is a sin, oh well, get over it.

f

Suicide is an extremely cowardly and escapist act. Someone finds life too hard and they decide to simply give up on it. A weak, pathetic, and incredibly stupid act by people who are too weak to bear the burden of life. It is also selfish, although I support reasonable selfishness so that is less an issue for me. Of course such an act is a personal choice; if some idiot actually wants to jump into the waiting arms of oblivion, I couldn't care less. No reason to force those people to live and waste space. I hold no sympathy for such weaklings, however.
